'Way Too Early' 2026 Mock Draft

With the 2025 MLB Draft come and gone, Baseball America is turning its attention ahead to a 2026 cycle that has talent evaluators pretty excited.

To kick things off, BA draft expert Carlos Collazo has presented his “Way Too Early” mock draft of the top 10 picks for next year. This annual exercise has hit on a number of top names in recent years, including Tyler Bremner, Ethan Holliday and Seth Hernandez this past weekend.

Updated Top 100 Draft Rankings For 2026

In addition to the mock, we’ve also rolled out a post-draft update to our ranking of the top 100 players for the 2026 class.

The new rankings are topped by Roch Cholowsky, the UCLA shortstop who was BA’s College Player of the Year. With an advanced hit tool and plus defensive tools, Cholowsky has all the makings of a potential 1-1 pick.

TOP COMPLEX LEAGUE PROSPECTS

Top 25 Prospects In The Arizona & Florida Complex Leagues

Having picked the brains of scouts all season and also been out to see both leagues in-person, Josh Norris has compiled his annual breakdown of the top 25 prospects in ACL and FCL.

This year’s Florida list is topped by Esteban Mejia, an Orioles righthander who’s been flying up lists. The Arizona ranking, meanwhile, is led by Giants shortstop Jhonny Level, who we’d previously identified as one of the best players in the Dominican Summer League last year.

UDFA Tracker: Agreements for All 30 Teams

Though the draft is over, players all over the country are still finding new professional homes by way of free agent deals. These undrafted players can sign these types of deals for up to $150,000 without counting toward a team’s draft bonus pool.

These players are worth monitoring, as there is a long history of UDFAs going on to major league success. Recent UDFAs to crack top 30 prospect lists include Giants outfielder Bo Davidson, Brewers RHP KC Hunt, Phillies outfielder Keaton Anthony and Yankees catcher Rafael Flores.
