Last year, Nick Kurtz, Christian Moore and Jac Caglianone took their first pro steps in the debut edition of the bridge league/continuation camp. Now, 2025 draftees such as Ethan Holliday and Billy Carlson are getting their feet wet in a professional setting out in Arizona.

Implemented as a way to get newly-drafted players live at-bats against opposing pro competition before reporting to their full-season affiliates, the bridge league and continuation camp offer a critical first look at up-and-coming talent.

Outside of a handful of commitments that have yet to be made, the 2025 transfer portal cycle is in the books.

For a number of reasons, college baseball’s portal window has more or less become the “Wild West” for coaches across the country. Some programs, though, have shown the ability to navigate it better than others.
