Happy National Signing Day!
Today, thousands of baseball recruits around the country will put pen to paper and make commitments to their respective schools official, providing plenty of excitement—and sometimes relief—for the coaching staffs and fan bases of their future programs.
To commemorate the occasion, Peter Flaherty has a compiled his initial Top 25 recruiting rankings for the class of 2025. While the list is, unsurprisingly, dominated by a slew of SEC schools at the top, it also features a number of up-and-coming and rebuilding programs looking to make a splash with their incoming freshman classes.

DIGGING INTO ROKI’S PITCH DATA
How Will Roki Sasaki’s Pitch Arsenal Translate To MLB?
Chiba Lotte’s announcement early Saturday morning that it will begin the process of posting Japanese superstar Roki Sasaki triggered widespread speculation about not only where the 23-year-old will land, but also what kind of pitcher he’ll be in the majors.
After four seasons in the Nippon Baseball League, Sasaki is considered by many the top talent in Japan and could arguably become baseball’s top prospect once he signs. Sasaki is billed as a near-ready top-of-the-rotation starter and figures to soon lead an MLB staff for years to come.
Sasaki’s underlying data suggests there are plenty of reasons to believe he could develop into an ace. But therer are also some potential areas of concern.
