Oregon’s Bryce Boettcher Headlines CFP Athletes With Baseball Ties
It’s not exactly breaking news that pitching injuries seem to be on the rise. On The College Football Playoff begins Friday night and there are a handful of baseball connections spread out across the 12-team field, including a few repeats from our initial “Ranking College Football’s Best Baseball Players” piece.
The list is headlined by a pair of players who are imperative to their respective team’s success over the next few weeks:
Bryce Boettcher, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker and center fielder for Oregon
Gunner Stockton, a catcher-turned-quarterback who looks like he might be getting the start under center for Georgia this weekend
