Top 10 Guardians Prospects For 2025

We’re continuing our rollout of Top 10 prospect lists for 2025 with a look at the Cleveland Guardians.

The top of the Guardians system is headlined by Travis Bazzana, the 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick whose high offensive floor should help the Australian native rise through the minors quickly and give Cleveland its second baseman of the future. Rule 5 Draft Preview 3.0

With the Rule 5 draft set for next week (Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. ET), we’re presenting the third edition of our all-encompassing preview, updated with nearly 25 new names to watch.

Highlights from the new additions include:

  • A Reds righthander whose tantalizing stuff might be the best of the entire Rule 5-eligible crop

  • A righty with the Padres whose fastball has touched 102 and could make him a “one-inning, fire-breathing dragon”

  • A Giants reliever who cracked the big leagues in 2022 and 2023 but is recovering from Tommy John surgery

Middle Infielder Targets, Sleepers & Fades for 2025

Earlier this week, we continued our dynasty baseball rankings with a list of the top 100 second basemen and shortstops for 2025.

Today, Geoff Pontes and Dylan White dug into their comprehensive list to highlight a number of interesting targets, potential sleepers and players to avoid.

Highlights include:

  • A budding Brewers star so special that “If you missed on Jackson Chourio in a dynasty league, you’ve been offered a second chance”

  • A up-and-coming infielder who should be hitting near the top of the Twins lineup by 2026

  • A free agent shortstop whose career year in 2024 shouldn’t fool savvy dynasty owners
