Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the 20 hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on. We’ll be running a Hot Sheet chat to talk prospects every Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET, too.

The inaugural Hot Sheet is led by Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz, the 2024 first-round pick who debuted this season at Triple-A and is already showing he belongs after slashing .412/.459/.882 with four home runs and four doubles last week.

Week 8 College Baseball Top 25 Rankings

There’s a new No. 1 in the Baseball America college baseball Top 25 rankings.

Following a perfect week and stumble from previous No. 1 Tennessee, Arkansas has emerged as the top team in college baseball. The Razorbacks, now 30-3 overall and 11-1 in SEC play, were one of six teams (Arkansas, LSU, Clemson, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Kansas) to produce perfect weeks.

Two ranked teams logged losing records over the weekend and three teams dropped out of the top 25 entirely.
