Expanded BA 500 Draft Rankings

The BA 500 is here! In advance of this weekend’s NCAA Tournament, we’ve expanded our draft rankings to include 500 players, complete with scouting reports for every player.

This year’s draft class continues to have a clear-cut grouping of college players at the top, and the industry expects a run on college hitters early in the draft. The back of the first round (and beyond) remains fairly muddled. Teams picking in that range will need to cast a wide net. That may not be fun for scouting directors, but it’s certainly fun for fans of the draft.

• Hagen Smith is now the top-ranked college arm

• JJ Wetherholt creeps back up the board

• A rising two-way pitcher from Mississippi State cracks the top 50

• A prep arm from Idaho climbs 300+ spots
