The Hot Sheet Ranks The 20 Hottest Prospects In Baseball

The Hot Sheet returns, and it’s headlined by 20-year-old slugger Deyvison De Los Santos. De Los Santos, as you may remember, was drafted by the Guardians this winter in the Rule 5 Draft. He didn’t stick and was instead offered back to Arizona, where he’s promptly started mashing again in 2024. De Los Santos hit three homers over the last week and is making an argument he’s ready for Triple-A.

Baseball America subscribers can see the full ranking below, which includes notable Cardinals and Yankees lefties near the top of the list, plus an Astros slugger who could quickly make a big league impact.

We’re also hosting a prospects chat right now and our new Hot Sheet show streams live on YouTube at 3 p.m. ET. You’ll want to check this one out — we’re diving into the biggest breakout prospects of April.

The NCAA Tournament Bubble Heats Up. Which Schools Have Work To Do?

With the calendar flipping to May, it’s time to start the bubble watch for the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Over the next month, Baseball America’s Ted Cahill will track the developing Field of 64 and, most importantly, what every team needs to do to secure an at-large bid.

Some have already positioned themselves as locks. Other prominent programs — looking at you, Florida, LSU and Ole Miss — still have some work to do. We dive into every program on the bubble with a month remaining and what needs to be done to lock in their spot in the tournament.
