Ranking Every Prospect Traded At The Deadline
The 2025 MLB trade deadline has come and gone, resulting in new homes for nearly a hundred prospects.
As we do each year, we’ve compiled a comprehensive ranking of all 92 prospects involved in deals. Players are tiered into categories, ranging from those in the upper echelon of the Top 100 Prospects list to those falling outside the top 1000.
The top name dealt, of course, was Leo De Vries, the 18-year-old shortstop phenom who went from the Padres to the Athletics as part of the Mason Miller trade. Check out the full ranking below to see how the remaining 91 names shook out.

5 Teams Whose Trade Deadlines We Liked (And 5 Whose Puzzled Us)
The trade deadline never unfolds quite how we expect. Some teams make splashy, headline-grabbing moves. Others stay curiously quiet.
This year, a number of teams added smartly to contend now while others punted valuable assets with questionable returns. A few left us scratching our heads, unsure what their plan really was.
With that in mind, we polled our staff to compile a breakdown of the clubs that impressed, confused or simply couldn’t be ignored at this year’s deadline.
2027 HS RANKINGS
New 2027 Top 100 High School Prospects
Aug. 1 is here, marking the starting date for college coaches to officially begin contacting players in the 2027 class. It also marks the debut of BA’s ranking of the top 100 players in the class.
The No. 1 player in the country is Dylan Seward, a switch-hitting shortstop from California with a terrific blend of tools, skills and instincts in all facets of the game. Like most years for players at this stage, the top of the list is heavy on position players. But there is a significant amount of high-end pitching at the top of the class, too.
Check out the complete 2027 top 100 below, featuring prospect reports for every player.
