Building out Top 30 Prospects lists is one of Baseball America’s most rigorous exercises of the year.
Of course, each season there are prospects who just miss the cut for a variety of reasons. But don’t count these players out, as some go on to do big things. Prospects identified in our 31-40 ranks last year included the likes of Kristian Campbell, Zyhir Hope, Jesus Made, CJ Kayfus and Tyler Fitzgerald.

College Baseball Previews: Big 12 & Big Ten
Baseball America continues its ramp up to the start of college baseball season next week with a look at two more power conferences.
As Jacob Rudner writes, despite some big-time turnover, the Big 12 in 2025 “should be no less competitive and remains likely to rank third behind the SEC and ACC in total postseason bids.”
Meanwhile, over in the Big Ten, Peter Flaherty says the addition of Oregon, USC, UCLA and Washington “will help the conference in the long run, as at-large tournament bids figure to be more attainable given the increase in depth and talent.”

In an offseason where the Dodgers’ dominance seems to have found another gear, the clamoring for an MLB salary cap has only gotten louder.
In reality, MLB has experienced the kind of championship parity that NFL and NBA fans can’t claim in their respective sports. But as J.J. Cooper writes in his latest column, without a true salary cap in place, the truth won’t matter to fans so long as perception is working against baseball.
