Our August Top 100 Update Is Here
Baseball America’s final significant in-season update to the Top 100 Prospects list is here.
Our August installment features some familiar names at the top—Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin holds onto the No. 1 spot—but also a number of key risers and fallers. The update also sees a number of players who were bumped off the previous update to make room for 2025 draftees having played their way back onto the list.
So, who made the cut in the August edition of our Top 100? Check out the complete list and read on below for a breakdown of major risers, fallers and new additions.

TOP 100 RISERS & FALLERS
Risers, Fallers & New Top 100 Additions
As always, a key aspect of our monthly Top 100 update is to offer explanations for why we’ve made decisions to add, drop, raise or lower certain prospects.
By now, we have plenty of in-game performance, injury updates and, of course, detailed industry feedback to help generate the most comprehensive prospect list possible. Highlights to the changes in this update include:
A Twins SS returning to the list as the highest-ranked addition
A blossoming Mets OF who rose a whopping 65 spots
The continued fall of Charlie Condon
LATEST HOT SHEET
Konnor Griffin Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet
Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.
Fittingly enough on the day of our latest Top 100 update, the new Hot Sheet is topped by Pirates shortstop and No. 1 overall prospect Konnor Griffin. The 19-year-old had monster week for High-A Greensboro, slugging a trio of home runs and accounting for nine runs and 11 RBIs.
As always, we’ll be hosting our weekly Hot Sheet Show on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET on Monday followed by a Hot Sheet prospects chat on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.
