Updated Top 100 Prospects Following The 2024 MLB Draft
With the trade deadline a week away and the draft complete, we updated our Top 100 prospects today to include first-round picks from this month’s draft. The update includes new skinnies for each of the new inclusions — the top-ranked new addition was not the No. 1 pick in the draft — as well as tool grades that carry over from our BA 500 draft rankings. Baseball America subscribers can see the full Top 100 update below.
NEW HOT SHEET SHOW!
Today’s show streams live at 3 p.m. ET and breaks down the Top 100 update in more detail. We’re also plunging into the latest MLB Trade Deadline news, including which farm systems could put together the best package for either Garrett Crochet or Tarik Skubal, and we end on a check-in on both Holliday brothers — Jackson finds himself in trade rumors and Ethan remains No. 1 in our new 2025 high school rankings.

Tiering All 499 Prospects Traded At The Deadline Since 2015
If you’ve made it this far, you likely already know we like to go deep on our coverage at Baseball America. Today, that’s 499 prospects — yes, 499 — deep on the trade deadline.
Baseball America’s J.J. Cooper examined every prospect trade at the deadline dating back to 2015. His goal? To determine just how frequently, or better yet infrequently, prospects acquired in July turn into useful contributors.
The numbers might be smaller than you think. Only 6.1% of prospects acquired at the deadline since 2015 became MLB all-stars, or something close to it. These are our top five players during that span.

Below, check out our tiering of every prospect dealt, ranging from the best of the best to players you may have forgotten were traded at all.
