Ralphy Velazquez Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet

Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.

Guardians first baseman Ralphy Velazquez shows no signs of slowing after his promotion to Double-A Akron. After stumbling out of the gate this season, Velazquez has picked up momentum, and last week nine of his hits went for extra bases, including four home runs. For slashing .545/.615/1.364 and showcasing the raw power scouts raved about in his draft profile, Velazquez tops our latest Hot Sheet.
