Gavin Cross Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet
Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.
It was a great week for Royals prospects, as four of them found their way into our latest Hot Sheet. That includes our No. 1 pick, Gavin Cross, the 24-year-old outfielder who slashed .379/.400/.931 with three homers and almost as many steals as strikeouts. If he stays hot, he has a chance for a 20-20 season in his second go-round with Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Due to the Labor Day holiday, we’ll be hosting our weekly Hot Sheet Show on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday followed by a Hot Sheet prospects chat on Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET.
