Updated Top 100 Draft Rankings For 2026
The latest update to Baseball America’s ranking of the top 100 prospects for the 2026 MLB Draft is here. Our October update is an important one, as it folds in performances from the summer and early portions of the fall evaluation period.
UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky continues to hold the No. 1 spot as one of the best college shortstop prospects we’ve seen in years. Likewise, Texas high school shortstop Grady Emerson continues to rank second in the class and appears to be the clear leader in the prep ranks thanks to a polished hit tool and a solid toolset beyond it.
Check out complete list of draft prospects below, featuring updated scouting reports for each player and college commitments for prep players.

Risers, Fallers & New Additions To The Draft Rankings Update
A lot has happened since our last pre-summer circuit draft rankings update, which means our new big board features considerable movement for a number of key names. Highlights from our roundup of notable risers, fallers and new additions include:
A California prep RHP who debuts in the top 25
A high school OF climbing 67 spots after a strong summer
Several college bats who slipped down the rankings
VELO GAINERS TO KNOW
Every Prospect Who Added 2+ MPH In 2025
When it comes to player dev for pitchers, there are many ways a player can improve, such as by adding new pitches, improving shapes or simply training command. But the easiest route to improved results is a tried and true method—adding velocity.
With that in mind, Geoff Pontes has compiled a list of every pitcher in the minor leagues who added at least 2 mph of fastball velocity this season. Topped by a Cubs righthander who gained more than 5 mph on his four-seamer, the list features a mix of notable prospects and some less-heralded names who could be ready to break out next year.
