CHANGES TO TRIPLE-A ABS SYSTEM

Triple-A To Use ABS Challenge System Exclusively In Second Half Of Season

Triple-A will shift to fully using the ABS challenge system in the second half of the season, Baseball America has learned. In the first half of the season, the first three games of every series are called by “roboumps.” Now, home plate umpires will fully call balls and strikes, with players retaining the right to challenge calls. J.J. Cooper has more information below, which is free for all to read.
