Cooper: Explaining My First-Ever Hall Of Fame Ballot

After a 10-year BBWAA wait, Baseball America’s J.J. Cooper finally has a Hall of Fame vote (and so does Ben Badler!).

To commemorate this momentous occasion, BA’s editor-in-chief offered some insight into his decision-making process, as well as a look at his complete ballot for the 2025 class.

In his column, J.J. shares some of the frustrations he’s had with the HOF process in the past while laying out the five guidelines by which he arrived at his difficult choices for player picks now that he finally has a say in the matter.

So, did your favorite HOF hopefuls make J.J.’s list?

Dynasty Pitcher Targets, Sleepers & Fades for 2025

Earlier this week, we wrapped up our initial dynasty baseball positional rankings with a list of the top 150 starting pitchers and relievers for 2025.

As a follow-up, Geoff Pontes and Dylan White dug into their comprehensive list to highlight a number of interesting targets, potential sleepers and players to avoid.

Highlights include:

  • A pair of talented SP from Florida-based teams looking to hit the ground running after Tommy John procedures

  • Our 2024 Minor League Pitcher of the Year and his chances to blossom into the ace of the Cardinals’ staff

  • An aging star to avoid next year and beyond despite a pitching triple crown in 2024
