International Signing Day: Everything To Know

At long last, international signing day is here. It’s ok to celebrate—it’s something of an annual holiday here at Baseball America, too.

While many of the players inking deals today agreed to sign with their respective clubs years in advance, today marks the official opening of the signing period for 2026. There’s a lot to know about this year’s class, and led by international prospect expert Ben Badler, Baseball America has everything you need to stay informed, including:

UNDER-THE-RADAR NAMES TO KNOW

12 Breakouts In The 2026 International Class

With the 2026 signing period now open, there are just over 50 players inking deals for at least $1 million dollars.

However, only a small segment of the nearly 1,000 players who will sign are able to command million-dollar deals. That means future Top 100 Prospects like Franklin Arias, Josue De Paula, Edward Florentino and Rainiel Rodriguez can be found outside the upper echelons of the top 100 bonus board.

As such, Ben Badler has compiled a list of 12 under-the-radar prospects who won’t top six figures but still show signs of being breakout names to watch.

5 Teams With Exciting International Classes

It’ll be a long time before we truly know who walked away as international signing day victors for 2026. Still, without having to wait 10 years or even 10 months, there are certain classes that already jump out.

Some of those classes are deeper with players who have trended up throughout the scouting process while others are more reliant on one or two big-ticket signings.

With the international signing period opening today, here are five exciting signing classes to watch.

INTERNATIONAL ARMS TO KNOW

Top 2026 International Pitching Prospects

Taking a look at our 2026 International Bonus Board, you might notice a lack of pitchers. But while MLB teams are hesitant to pay for pitching in the international market, that doesn’t mean there aren’t quality arms to be found.

With that in mind, Ben Badler has compiled a list of the top pitchers in this year’s signing class, ranging from recent pitching converts and teenagers nearing triple digits to an extreme wild card who will be one of the more fascinating arms to follow this year in the Dominican Summer League.
