While many teams have become more conservative with their post-draft assignments, six weeks after the 2025 MLB Draft, we still have a good number of new players with pro progress to monitor.
To that end, BA draft expert Carlos Collazo has checked in on all top 30 drafted players who have made official debuts, plus a few standout debuts beyond that. Highlights include:

10 Hitters With Big EV Gains In 2025
With modern ball-tracking technology, we now have more insight than ever into a hitter’s underlying power. Of course, not all raw power translates directly into game power—there’s more to producing extra bases than simply hitting the ball hard—but it remains a great foundational skill that can scale over time as hitters refine their contact angles.
With that in mind, Geoff Pontes has taken a look at 2025 data to highlight a number of qualified hitters who’ve seen huge leaps in exit velocity this season, led by an 18-year-old Red Sox outfielder who’s added more than 7 mph to his 90th percentile EV.
