Leo De Vries Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet

Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the 20 hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.

We open May with a new list of Hot Sheet names topped by a Padres prospect who figures to continue his exciting rise to prominence in the coming weeks and months: Leo De Vries. Only 18 years old, the Dominican-born shortstop slashed .533/.667/.867 last week while not striking out a single time in 22 at-bats.

As always, we’ll be hosting our weekly Hot Sheet Show on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET on Monday followed by a Hot Sheet prospects chat on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.

Week 12 College Baseball Top 25 Rankings

Once again, there's a new No. 1 in the Baseball America college baseball Top 25 rankings.

Georgia has claimed the top spot after a perfect 4-0 week and Texas' winless weekend against Arkansas. The Bulldogs are the fifth different team to be crowned No. 1 in 2025.

Five teams—North Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas, Coastal Carolina and Dallas Baptist—turned in perfect weeks. Only NC State failed to win a game. TCU and Kansas exited the rankings while Florida and Arizona returned for the first time since Week 7 and 11, respectively.

The Hot Sheet Show airs new episodes every Monday at 3:30 p.m. ET on the Baseball America YouTube channel.

Each week, we go live to chat about the latest baseball news, prospect analysis, player interviews & lots more.
