Hot Sheet: Ranking MLB's 20 Hottest Prospects
Plus: Statcast standouts, potential first-round picks, RoboScout targets & more
Brice Matthews Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet
Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the 20 hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.
This week’s Hot Sheet is topped by Brice Matthews, the Astros shortstop who lit up Triple-A Sugar Land last week with a .429/.500/.929 slash line, three homers, two triples and a pair of stolen bases. With a dynamic mix of power, speed and plate awareness, the 23-year-old is making noise in the Pacific Coast League and strengthening his case for a potential big-league callup this season.
As always, we’ll be hosting our weekly Hot Sheet Show on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET on Monday followed by a Hot Sheet prospects chat on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.
