Hector Rodriguez Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet

Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the 20 hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.

This week’s Hot Sheet is topped by Reds outfielder Hector Rodriguez, who slashed .567/.606/1.033 with three home runs this past week for Double-A Chattanooga. Always one of the most aggressive free-swingers in pro ball, this year Rodriguez has walked 25 times in 65 games, leaving him just three free passes shy of his career-high before the calendar even flips to July.

LSU Headlines Final Top 25 Ranking

LSU bookended the postseason the way it started—on top.

The Tigers, ranked No. 1 entering the NCAA Tournament, ripped through the postseason with a 10-1 record and claimed their eighth national title and second in three years. Their 5-3 win over Coastal Carolina in the College World Series final on Sunday cemented what many suspected: No team in the country had a higher gear.

The Tigers headline the final Baseball America Top 25 of the 2025 season, a ranking filled with first-time College World Series stories and powerful returns to prominence.

Top 50 High School Draft Prospects For 2027

With the summer circuit underway, BA has updated our 2027 high school draft rankings as top players in the country begin to separate themselves as prospects to watch for the 2027 MLB Draft.

Typical of most years for this age group, the 2027 class is heavy on position players at the top of the list, but it’s a group that’s also well stocked with high-end pitching.

There’s a new No. 1 player in the nation, with shortstop Dylan Seward jumping from No. 9 to the top of the list. Seward brings advanced hitting ability from both sides of the plate, elite speed and smooth defensive actions along with high-level instincts that are evident in all facets of the game.
