Division I college baseball action returns in less than a month, and Baseball America is looking ahead with a preview of the 2025 campaign.
To that end, Jacob Rudner and Peter Flaherty have gazed into their crystal ball to compile a list of major award predictions for the upcoming season, including:
National Player of the Year
Pitcher and Freshman of the Year
Conference award winners for the SEC, ACC, Big Ten and Big 12

13 Mid-Major Draft Prospects To Watch In 2025
With the college baseball season rapidly approaching, chatter around the draft will only increase. While it’s easy to get caught up in the big names at big-time schools, draft enthusiasts know there are talented players to be found at all conference levels.
With that in mind, Peter Flaherty has highlighted a baker’s dozen mid-major draft prospects to keep a close watch on this spring. Highlights include:
A Coastal Carolina catcher Peter has ranked as his No. 2 backstop in the 2025 class
A righthander from Dallas Baptist who grades as one of the top draft-eligible sophomores available
A Fresno State third baseman who slashed .329/.367/.500 en route to being named a Cape Cod League all-star this past summer
