As 2025 wraps up, we wanted to pull together some of our favorite and most meaningful Baseball America content from the past year.

With 42 prospects traded so far this offseason, here’s our initial big board ranking every prospect dealt since the end of the 2025 season. We will continue to update this list until spring training. With MLB’s collective bargaining agreement set to expire on Dec. 1 of next year, college coaches are increasingly mindful of the possibility of structural change at the professional level that could affect the college game, including scenarios that could involve fewer draft rounds or further contraction of the minor leagues.
As BA’s Jacob Rudner reports, behind the scenes, college baseball has not been idle as it prepares for what could be a major shift in its role as a player development pipeline for future MLB players.
