MLB Mock Draft 3.0: First 40 Picks

The 2026 draft is less than two months away and, finally, there’s some consensus building near the top of the board.

As Carlos Collazo explains in this week’s mock draft, there’s a consistent cluster of about six players who are expected to come off the board in the first 10 picks.

But after that?

It’s anyone’s guess.

Carlos mocked the first 40 picks of the 2026 draft this week for Baseball America subscribers, and also explained why the industry has generally been disappointed with this year’s crop of college hitters, which could open the door for other profiles, like a deep high school pitching class, to rise up the board.
