90 Prospects Who Threw 100 MPH In 2024

Throwing Gas: Here Is Every Prospect Who Touched 100 MPH In 2024

Pitchers hitting 100 mph is becoming more and more common in baseball.

We see it in the major leagues, the minor leagues and even in college and prep baseball. It’s something that, 20 years ago, seemed unattainable, but now throwing 100 has become so common that many have begun to ask: What’s next?

Will a pitcher one day hit 107 mph or higher? Is that even physically possible?

For now, we’ve compiled the list of 90 prospect-eligible pitchers (sorry Paul Skenes) who touched 100 mph with their fastballs in 2024. Click the button below to see who made the list, which is topped by a pair of Dodgers arms who maxed out with some eye-popping radar gun numbers this season.

The Hardest-Throwing Prospect In Every MLB System

Touching triple digits is one thing, but the ongoing arms race in baseball for more velocity begs another important question: Who can throw the hardest most consistently?

To answer that question, we’ve compiled a rundown of the hardest-throwing pitchers, on average, in all 30 MLB organizations.

The names on this list run the gamut of prospects: recent draftees, minor league veterans and young players at the lower levels. While the list favors relievers, the hardest thrower in the published chart is, in fact, a starter. There isn’t a single lefthanded pitcher included, and all but one pitcher is listed as using a four-seam fastball as their primary fastball.

COLLEGE RECRUITING RANKINGS

Top 25 Recruiting Classes For Class Of 2024

With fall ball now in full swing, plenty of fresh faces have begun to announce their presence at various college programs across the country.

Tennessee, which had the No. 2 class on signing day last fall, has vaulted to No. 1 in our latest recruiting rankings after making out particularly well in the draft.

The SEC and ACC both landed a handful of programs on the top 25, though there are others who also made their mark. Check out the complete rankings to see which recruiting coordinators have done the most heavy lifting this cycle.
