With more than two months in the books, we’ve now seen enough to take stock of players who have surged past expectations so far this year.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a comprehensive list of 25 of the biggest early risers from 2025 based on a mix of data, scouting insight and firsthand reporting from Baseball America’s team.

Think of this as the list of players who have made the greatest tangible changes to their profile—or have shown up the most in our breakouts spotlights—so far this year.

12 Pitchers With Intriguing Complex League Performances

Last week, we dug into some top hitting prospects posting intriguing data over the first month of complex league play. Now, it’s time to look at a handful of pitchers impressing evaluators in the Florida Complex and Arizona Complex Leagues. Highlights include:

  • A 10th-round RHP who looks like another Brewers draft gem

  • A Reds RHP on a 15-inning scoreless streak

  • An 18-year-old lefty part of a rising crop of Blue Jays arms

7 Prospects Who Caught Our Attention In Arizona

The Arizona Complex League is in full swing, and some of the desert’s top talents have begun to separate themselves from the pack. Josh Norris’ annual top 20 prospect rankings for the full league will drop in the middle of next month, after the season concludes.

In the meantime, Josh just got done with a week-long run through the ACL and has compiled a list of seven players who made an impression on him during his time in Arizona.

Top 500 Dynasty Rankings Update For June

Geoff Pontes and Dylan White are back with the latest update to their Top 500 Dynasty rankings.

Though the sample size is larger than what we saw for the last update in May, there is still a lot of performance variance, meaning it’s important to not overreact. Even so, there are some key changes in the rankings, including a new name in the top overall pitching spot.

AJ Gracia & More Duke Players To Enter Portal

On Tuesday, it was announced that Duke coach Chris Pollard was taking the head coaching job at Virginia. Already, we’re starting to see fallout in the transfer portal among Blue Devils players, including star outfielder AJ Gracia, who is No. 8 in Baseball America’s 2026 draft rankings.
