20 Prospects Who Dominated In July
At the end of each month of the season, BA prospect expert Geoff Pontes has been digging deep into player data to highlight 10 hitters and 10 pitchers whose performances stood out above the rest.
In July, the lists of dominant performers featured an intriguing rundown of higher-profile names like Spencer Jones (blasted a bunch of home runs) and Owen Caissie (looks ready for the big leagues). But they also highlighted some under-the-radar names who could be ready to break out down the stretch (especially on the pitching side of things).

CAMPUS-BOUND PREPS
Top 50 High Schoolers Headed To College After The Draft
With the 2025 draft signing deadline behind us, we now have a clear picture of which players are getting to campus this fall.
As is typically the case, the list is topped by a handful of upside arms. Hard-throwing lefthander Jack Bauer leads the group and will bring his 102-mph fastball to Mississippi State after being undrafted. Righthander Angel Cervantes became the highest-drafted player in this year’s class to not sign.
Check out the complete list of 50 high school players from the 2025 class who didn’t sign along with a number of key pre-draft scouting reports below.

2025 DRAFT VALUES
Best & Worst ‘Values’ Of The 2025 Draft
As he does every year, BA draft expert Carlos Collazo has compiled a rundown of the best and worst values found in the 2025 draft.
Using the BA 500 draft board as a guide, expected dollar amounts were assigned to each player and then compared to real-life signing bonuses. In all, 15 players in this year’s draft provided a value more than $1 million more than what they signed for while 21 players were valued for at least $1 million less than their bonuses.
Carlos also totaled up team values to identify which orgs got the most bang for their buck with this year’s class.
