Joshua Báez Tops This Week’s Hot Sheet
Baseball America’s Hot Sheet ranks the hottest prospects from the previous week while also identifying a weekly helium player to keep tabs on.
This week’s Hot Sheet is topped by Cardinals outfielder Joshua Báez, who after a strong May with 10 home runs, has has upped the ante in June by hitting another nine over 17 games while slashing .348/.377/.826. Last week, he went deep four times in a single game before homering again on Thursday and Sunday to finish the week with six total.

CLASS OF 2028 ⚾️
New Top 50 HS Prospects For 2028
The summer circuit is here, and so are Baseball America’s new rankings of the top 50 high school players in the 2028 class.
There is a lot of talent in the 2028 class, but unlike most recent years, there is no clear No. 1 player yet. For now, the new No. 1 in the class is Grant Arnold, an outfielder/catcher from Florida who has been a high-level offensive performer for years, both in terms of getting on base and hitting for power. Overall, the top of the list as usual at this stage in the process is heavy on hitters, including seven shortstops in the top 12 spots.
Be sure to check our full rankings for the latest 2026, 2027 and 2028 lists.
