15 Under-The-Radar Prospects Who Caught Scouts’ Attention In Jupiter
The Perfect Game WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Fla. once again lived up to its reputation as the ultimate proving ground for prep talent. While the weekend featured plenty of headline draft names, it also served as a launching pad for a group of under-the-radar players who either showed off exciting tools or delivered true breakout performances.
Back from a first-hand look at these up-and-coming draft prospects, Jacob Rudner presents scouting intel and video for 15 players from the 2026 and 2027 classes who had evaluators buzzing down in Jupiter.

MLB SERVICE TIME DATA
Active Service Time For Every MLB Rookie In 2025
When it comes to MLB service time, league offices are frustratingly tight-lipped, making it difficult to figure out exactly which players have graduated from rookie status in a given year.
But now, with the help of Ethan Hullihen, Baseball America has independently generated a complete—and, as best as we can determine, accurate—listing of the active service time of every rookie and graduated rookie. That’s important for BA subscribers as, beginning with our upcoming top 10 prospect lists for every team this offseason, we will be able to account for service time to exclude prospects who have exceeded limits.
TOUGH 40-MAN DECISIONS
One Difficult 40-Man Roster Decision For Every Team
In December, the Winter Meetings culminate when teams with at least one open 40-man MLB roster spot have the chance to select unprotected players from other organizations in the annual Rule 5 draft. Naturally, decisions teams face about whether or not to protect players can be tricky.
To help sort out the Rule 5 draft landscape, we’ve compiled a comprehensive breakdown of difficult 40-man decisions for each team this winter.

STRIKER PENCE TURNS HEADS
Meet Striker Pence: The 16-Year-Old Who Throws 101 MPH
As the nephew of longtime Giants great Hunter Pence, Striker Pence was already used to the baseball limelight. That’s good news for the 16-year-old, because as a teenager who’s been melting radar guns with a 101 mph fastball this summer and fall, the spotlight is about to get a whole lot brighter.
Check out Jacob Rudner’s profile below of this up-and-coming flamethrower to learn more about a player one evaluator told Baseball America “has a chance to do historic things.”
